BMX Park

The City of Gooding is excited to announce the construction of a BMX Park. The City entered into an agreement with the Gooding School District to utilize the piece of land next to the Skate Park. Mayor Diane Houser has taken a five month long health academy class in order to receive a $20,000 grant from the Blue Cross Health Foundation. This grant is to be used to better the health of the community in some way. The BMX Park will provide access to physical activity and hopefully give them a place to ride other than the streets. The City is still in need of $160,000 in order to complete the project. The City is also applying for a grant through the Idaho Parks and Recreation Department later this month in hopes to help with the remaining cost.
